Northwood and District u3a is a well-established member of a worldwide movement for those interested in lifelong learning. As a self-help organisation, we offer a wide variety of study, recreational and social group activities.
Our members are retired or semi-retired and we learn because we want to. We value experience and share our knowledge and skills across a broad range of general and specialist interest groups.
We invite you to join us as a member in the third age of life. Becoming a member gives you the opportunity to access all our groups and meetings, to receive our newsletters and bulletins, and to socialise in friendly and informal surroundings.

Our Members section includes links to our constitution and policies. It also has information on how to renew your membership, how to update your personal contact information and how to use Zoom. Finally, it has links to reserve equipment (such as a laptop or projector) for use at Fairfield or at another location (our “roaming equipment”).
Our regional u3a and national organisations both run events and courses that are open to all of our members. They also provide a plethora of useful information and advice. There are links to both organisations on our members page.

The first UK u3a was founded in 1982 and there are now over 1,050 u3as with over 450,000 members.
